I'm a bit concerned about the plant the flask is sitting on. Black rot?

Warm/hot. Saturated humidity. Zero air movement. The best I've seen are grown in fairly closed tanks.

I recall from an old post from Ed Merkle, that he had more success on a wire mesh mount than on a stick.

I'm trying a variety of substrates. I have some hickory bark and figure on trying Epiweb and leca as well.
