It is a real beauty to the eye!
I loved your pictures of the long inflorescence and of the shining flowers. Mine started early last June and has a long way to go yet

Beautiful plant, I'm so jealous! I got a citrata from Andy's late this past summer that came with a 4" spike in progress, but due to not taking the changing angle of the sun and dropping leaves into account it caught some direct sun which cooked the spike and half of the leaves. I moved it inside into a paludarium where it has rebounded nicely. Just the other day I noticed a little spike which is currently around 3/4". I can't wait!

Thank you!

Wow! Yours is taking a really long time, then! Ah - but they're so worth the wait! I look forward to seeing photos of yours!

So far *knocks wood* this has been an easy grower for me - I'm hoping it will produce more spikes in the future, but even producing just the one spike reliably works for me!

That is gorgeous...well worth the wait. I got one with tiny spikes in the fall from J&L at Orchids in the Park. It's taking its sweet time to bloom too. Lol. Maybe a couple more months. I hope it looks as good as yours.

It's crazy how long the spikes take! I hope you don't have too much longer to wait for yours!
