I bought this at the Southern Ontario Orchid Society Show on the 16th, the flowers just opened fully yesterday and I thought I'd show it off a bit here

I've had some fairly mixed to bad results with this group of orchids but I'm going to be trying a few things differently, and fingers crossed that it works, and that I can get this awesome plant to re-bloom.

Very nice! Do you remember which vendor you bought it from? I looked for one at our show, but nobody had it. There's a show coming up in Calgary, I wouldn't mind getting one. I have fastuosa, and it blooms reliably.

Thanks guys.

Unfortunately I don't remember who was selling this one, they were the only ones who had it and they only had one plant. The tag says Crystal Star Orchids. Good luck.

I'll also add before someone asks yes it is fragrant, slightly more at night (but always at least somewhat) - smells very floral, lily-like, reminds me of a funeral home.

I'll check them out when I'm in Calgary. I like the flower a lot, but if it smells like a funeral home........(I'll leave the windows open when it blooms).

Haha, by that I just meant it has that sort of floral scent that's sort of overwhelmed by lilies, not anything bad. (There's a bit of clove in the scent too, and nothing says funeral home like lilies and carnations)
