This time get a well established blooming sized plant. Don't get a seedling. The trick is to let it get accustomed to your environment within that couple of weeks time frame when you first got it. Give it full attention.
In the warmer months you need to let it outdoors under a shady tree because the warm temperature and humidity in your grow zone is perfect for this orchid plant.
In winter don't let it get cold....bring it indoors at 50F

Thanks for sharing all these beautiful photos and advice @Bud.

I'm just in love with this orchid and I recently bought one. I'm a complete newbie to this genera but I hope I can at least keep it alive. So far it's had ups and downs, one root rotted and I destroyed one leaf when I accidentally left water for a little while (I found out in time to avoid more problems, the leaf dried and the problem didn't spread) but a root started branching out and I see plenty of green tips so I think not all is lost.
