It's hanging in a bright corner of his g/h. He waters once a week, feeds every other week in the growing season. That's about all I know, it's not my plant.

The one that I just gave away last year had a very long nectary but you would not know it, it cork screwed like a pigs tail. Neat plant to grow if you have bright light.

He won an award on it but it's not listed on the tag. If you have O-Wiz check it out for me ? I'm guessing that I use all the SLANG words for plant parts, like spur, and spike instead of the proper nomenclature !!! What can I say, I was born in California, need I say more ???!?!?!?!!!

Is his name Roy Bogan ? If so the plant received an HCC of79 points and a CCM of 85 points and was given the clonal name 'Pride of Africa' on 12/08/1982, here's the Judge's discription:

Forty flowers on four inflorescences; sepals and petals green with brown overlay; lip white fading to green with a prominent green, sharply pointed apex; flower non-resupinate, sepals bent backward and petals protrude forward; spur 20. 5 cm long, shaped like a corkscrew.

Then I don't know what to tell you. There are no other awards that come from your area of the country.
