Tiny Angraecum

This is Angraecum breve, blooming for me for the first time and a real charmer. The plant is only about an inch in size and is dwarfed by the flower. It was a delight watching the 5 inch spur uncoil as the flower opened and I've included pictures of the unopened flower and uncoiling spur on my blog:

That one would fit right in with my collection! Do you remember where you got it, and what are your growing conditions? They're hard to find here in Canada, but they are so rewarding to grow!

Nice shots on your blog! I especially like the second photo of the spur with the water droplet.

This is such a fantastic little orchid! It looks a bit like someone shrunk an Angraecum didieri.

Thanks, Evan. You're right that it does look a bit like A. dideri, but the plant is quite different.
