The terrarium and neofinetias are now in Mission, TX. We will be here for four months before moving on. It was 85 degrees the day we arrived, green grass and flowers blooming. It was 20 degrees when we left Kansas and I am not missing that. The terrariums are doing great. We have a small tree for Christmas and a couple decorations.

Hello!
Thank you for this beautiful topic. Very very nice miniterrarium. I probably missed the lighting options for your terrarium. Please write what kind of light, lamp's power, the duration of the lighting per day. Did all your orchids in this terrarium already bloomed With this light?

I have two exo terra hoods with the 9 watt jungle dawn led bulb. I had to go with two hoods to get the light even from the front to back of the tank. Coverage was good to the sides. These run twelve hours a day. I have had a couple that have never bloomed. Don't know if they are not old enough or not getting enough light. Everything in the tank grows fine and I have to trim some of the plants. 95 degrees today in Mission, TX.

Masdevallia erinaceae, Pleurothallis microphylla, and Microsaccus griffithii. These are very small plants, but are growing and hopefully will bloom in time.

Your setup is gorgeous! Have you found the need to add air movement, with a fan?

I have still not needed the added air movement. The humidity runs between 75 and 80 percent.

Hi bjmac, thanks for this post! It helped inspire my construction of my 8x8x12 exo terra. I have since acquired another terrarium. Could you please detail how you attached the cork to the terrarium?I have an expensive wardian case and I don't want to attach the cork permanently to the glass. Instead I want to attach the cork to a removable board. I was considering just getting a sheet of cork and attaching round cork to it for dimension and better use of light. Long story short, what did you do to attach the cork to the background?
