I set this up a couple of weeks ago to grow all my minis in because my previous set up was just barely keeping everyone alive. It is an old cracked 55 gallon tank turned on its side so the top faces forward (not an original idea). The lighting is 4x40watt T8 fluorescents. I mist with a 1 gallon pesticide sprayer that is so much better than a spray bottle and then I have a humidifier that I turn on for a minute or so every 2 hours. It houses cool to warm growing orchids so I keep the humidity up and try to average the favored temps of everyone until I can get a cloud chamber for the cooler growing plants. 40 of my little chids call this home

I think I got it! I also just added an Epidendrum schlechterianum, Maxillaria juergensii, and Ceratostylis philippinensis that a friend didn't want anymore.

LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!! LOVE IT!! I do this type of stuff to!! even got storage and junk space space underneath!! ROCK ON!!! I have a 55 gallon my turtles sometimes use and had already thought about using it in the winter when I bring in my minis but I had not thought about laying it on its side.. alot more "floor" space!!! Thanks!! Keep on keeping on my innovative friend!! Less money on supplies..more money for plants...
