he easily could have taken the time to answer politely and COHERENTLY... the only thing confusing about his answer was the tone in which he wrote it. if he is tired of helping people do something he thinks is so easy, i think he should keep off the forum and let people who want to be kind and helpful do so.
and i was tickled by his little lesson.. what a joke! can i say blowhard on this forum?
oh well... there seem to be plenty of other intelligent people here who are willing to articulate what they are trying to say... maybe he is not a native english speaker? that would be my guess, and ill forgive him for it.

getting back to what im here to do....
Marty so the mistking system is yours? thats awesome!
im planning to place the order soon, and hopefully i won't have to bother you later about it...looks like there are lots of happy users out there. i was just looking for a little feedback on the system, and i got that and a whole lot more!

I just wanted to chime in and say that I'm happy with my Mistking system using regular nozzles (2). I also purchased the timer. My boyfriend put it together for me. I'm using it in my (cooler-growing) masdie tank with a small computer fan inside. I'm using distilled water, too. Hopes this help. Barbara

Barbara,
How are you finding the computer fan? Does it create enough air movement? What about the water, these computer fans are not waterproof.

I found the 12 volt fans to be pretty forgiving. Mine is totally inside tank and subjected to full mistting 3-4 times a day with no ill effects so-far. Hope this helps. Wouldn't do this with the small high voltage fans (110 volt, etc.)

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Ditto to what Rsfrid said! Not too sure what the voltage is (my boyfriend would know and he's not home right now) but like Rsfrid, mine is also totally inside the tank and also subjected to full misting. I have mine "mounted" in the top corner of the tank, and since the fan is running almost 24/7, I noticed that the fan blows "away" any water mist heading towards it. I hope this helps, too! Barbara

Barbara, did you watch the fan when the mister kicks in? (I know I do almost every time cause it's cool!) The fan sucks in the full mist and blows it out again. It is totally satuarated in mist! There is water dripping from the shroud and the fan itself. Yet after months and months of constant abuse like this it keeps on chuggin'

Rsfrid, I haven't noticed the fan sucking it in and then blowing it back out!! I mean I noticed it just blowing it away from itself (fan)! I'll tell you what -- I'm off right now to push the mister on and check it out myself! That sounds too cool!! Barbara
