I've been thinking about a small terrarium like this, so thanks to all who have contributed to this thread. I would add Selaginella to the list of plants to consider - several species stay small. As a source for any plants, consider looking on eBay.

I've been having a real doozie of a time trying to find the orchids that rollinkansas talks about above. Here they are again to save some scrolling:

Lepanthes telipogoniflora
Barbosella australis
Barbosella cogniauxiana
Bulbophyllum sp. Baiyer River
Bulbophyllum sp. Thai
Bulbophyllum sp. New Guinea
Bulbophyllum sessile
Bulbophyllum alagense 'small form'
Bulbophyllum alagense 'large form'
Platystele jungermannioides
Pleurothallis microphylla

I know that J&L has one and Andy's also has one - but does anyone know where I can get a few together to save on shipping? Struck out on eBay too.

I'm trying to stock a no-air-flow terrarium and these would be great but I can't seem to find them on line.

Thanks for your help.

Hi J, seller autumnimports on ebay often lists Bulbophyllum sessile for cheap; I think she sometimes has alagense too. You could try asking her what else she has that would do well in that situation, she seems to have a ton of different Bulbo species.

Carolina Orchids is another good source for Bulbophyllums and I think they carry a few Pleurothallids as well. They usually have a lot of unlisted plants so be sure to ask if you don't see what you want.

Hope this helps!

Thanks so much Nat. I hadn't heard of either one of these sellers. I'll reach out today!
