hello all

i make a post for my terrarium.. hope someone can give me some help.
I have this terrarium:
Picasa Web Album - simotricci
the structure you can see here.
glass terrariums explora 80 , explora 80 - FERPLAST
Item lenght 81cm
Item width 36cm
Item height 51cm
And i want make it for my orchids..
What i want is a natural style.. and a good condition for Greenhouse: intermediate - warm.

Now i got only 5 orchids..
i dont have pics now, sorry, but all flower gone..
I have---
Psalaenopsis white, ended flower 2 week ago
Phalaenopsis Elegant selection 58 (never see its flower)
Aerangis luteo-alba var. rhodosticta - with spike
Pahalaenopsis Equestris
Phalaenopsis Mini Mark

But i want more

First i want make a great home for those orchids.

My question is this:

When i put in terrarium my orchids..
i need watering or is enaugh mist?
and... now i make fertilize every 2 week. How i can make fertilize in a terrarium? needed?
Can i make all orchids without a pot?

Now i need to buy something other, like light and a little fan..

I have see one item for light, that make a sunlight simulator.. is necessary or is enaught start-stop light?

ok for now is a lot of question
Hope someone can give me some advice ..

Simona, first of all I love your english it makes me feel like I'm on vacation in Italy and I'm trying to sound like the natives, so thank you.
I can't help you with your questions but I have two suggestions. 1st is to look under "search" and type in terrarium and see what comes up. You will probably get a lot of help from very knowledgeable people. 2nd Sometimes these smart people don't get to see your question because it's not up when they sign in, so you have to bump it up. You bump it up by adding something to your question even if it's just a symbol or a "hello". Good luck and ..A presto

Don't worry we have all made some of our orchids dead.
Another suggestion is to send private messages to the person you see with a setup like what you are trying to achieve. Everyone loves pm's. Not to be confused with PMS

Good, I have been working a lot on my synchronization lately
I really don't think you would be bothering anyone with asking, in fact I am sure of it. I pm people all the time with questions and they have always answered. Except for one actually, but I think he just fell off the planet or something.

Simona,

There are a lot of us here on the board that grow orchids in fish tanks. I myself being one and by all means not a proffesional at it. I have been growing my orchids in this tank for about two years now and have been sucessfull at booming almost all of them.

My first and biggest problem was ventilation as it can get very hot inside a tank with a light right above it. I use a 150w full spectrum compact forecent which is bright enough to bloom catts.

Try experimenting with different types of lighting. Since most of your orchids are phals this should not be that difficult as they do not require high light.

I maintain humidity with a fogg machine that turns on eary morning and i mist my orchids once a day.
No watering required and i not not fertilize.
Please see photo below.

hope this helps.

Maria
