Hi Carolyn
Sorry that I forgot to take detailed picture on the light-box. I am in Chicago IL at the moment and will be back in Sweden within some days. I though have to tell you that I already have redesigned the light-box. I had way to much heat radiation going into my orchidarium. I will take some pictures when I come home.

Update picture
Here is an update on how my orchidarium look today.

Carolyn, her is a picture of my "lightbox" today. I had to make it more open to ventilate of excess heat.
The electrical cord is conected to the grid through a regular timer.

I don't do most Dendros or large, "floofy orchids". For me it's minis (like Angraecoides), Masdies, Paphs, and others that crept in somewhere along the line. See my orchid list for complete collection (usually not current.)

Do you plant your orchids on epiweb? I do have this material but it looks very stiff and I'm afraid that the roots won't feel good on it.

Shadow, yes, I have starting to use Epiweb. The roots just seams to love it. They go straigh down into the material and do not stay on the surface. They are actually protected inside the structure! I have seen some rejection of the material from some realy thick phalaneopsis roots. I will try to take some pictures after the Ester holliday.

Orchidariums are easy, and can be made from regular fish tanks. They work out nice too, and cheaper, easier to make.

Agree. But they won't look as nice as orchidarium on the 2 page of this thread. That one is magnificent.

Sure they can. You just gotta learn how to make one like that. Here is my first attempt at a naturalistic orchidarium/vivarium:
