Homebuilt Wardian Case for small special plants
I'm just a new poster here, but I thought ya'll might find my wardian case design interesting. It's built of quartersawn white oak primarily. It has a computer fan mounted in the top for circulation{it really makes the leaves move around a bit} 2 grow lights, and a drip pan in the bottom. The top opens, and it has sliding glass doors for adjusting ventilation. I made a corian nameplate for the front of the case. And labeled it " Hortensia Minor.."little Garden" in Latin. It's designed to look something like a greek temple. And amazingly, it really works. The plants thrive in there. I love designing and building stuff like this.
