I use to have an Orchidarium. I was wondering what happened, when I couldn't buy a new one. So it's true they went out of business? A shame. I've had to get a BiOrb Air instead for my orchids.

Actually there is copyright principals of "fair use" which is why Klenex or Xerox jr Jeans do not or cannot sue anyone who uses their names to replace the words tissues or copies or denim trousers.

I know this is an old post but had to comment. Yes this company went out of business and the last 10 yr copywrite was in 2006 so we are out of the woods. If your still looking for an orchidarium like the ones they sold I saw an acme orchidarium site that sells pretty much the same thing. And yes that company went out of business. But when you alienate and bring legal warnings to such a small community who are the very same people who you expect will buy your products this is no surprise!

Default TRADEMARK CANCELLED

Quote:
I am in the process of contacting the trademark and copyright department to find out exactly what the deal is here. We don't want to go against any laws and I want to make sure we know the details before going any further.

*Okay, here's what I found...
there is a trademark on the name Orchidarium (which I find amazing with how often it is used), here's a link to the info:
Latest Status Info
I realize this is an old post, but I'm doing some catching up. I just followed that link out of curiosity and it turns out the registration for the trademark was canceled 17 April 2020. So we can use "orchidarium" as we wish.

Seems the website it down, did the term tyrants go under? Finally had a chance to see one of these in person. Lacking quality at every turn. Felt more like it was built from a plastic model kit from hobby lobby.

They are doing fine and in fact I bought one for myself just now to help me get jump started...

Rick Jacobs opened them back up with just 2 options. I noticed these a few nights ago being sold on Orchidweb.

I think they are rather neat compact all in one units.

Keep me small tight and organized.

Might need a few more of them if they do well for me.

We shall see.

waiting..got all the plants just not the home for them as I had hoped by this date.

on the way talked to Mr Jacobs and what a nice man.

one man operation and you just got to be patient sometimes.

Gave me a heads up on SVO releasing some new mini SLC's of Freds in July. He said they are growing like weeds in the Orchidarum I do believe he built for them.

So if your close to SVO go take a look and send us pics.

Guess where Im going shopping next...
