dounoharm - I thought about writing them a letter too. Then I thought it was probably a waste of my time and effort. If they care, they can read the responses here and see how it has been receivced. And not being able to keep and internet connection? When you run a largely web-based business?? All the more reason not to buy from them IMHO.

While browsing the bromeliad forum on Dave's Garden I came accross someone who called their "big glass box" a bromeliad palace. So, I therefore propose the "orchid palace!"

And while I'm at it... I think I'm a gonna trademark the term "bromeliadarium"... just in case I want to build and sell my own glass boxes someday! Will label them "Also great for orchids!!"

Call me old fashioned but I like wardian case. It is very specific to what the item is.

Were as orchidarium has been applied to everything from a wardian case to a greenhouse to a atrium and on etc. Some dont even contain orchids. I once saw on the web some condos called the Orchidarium (in the US I think).

Ill admit. Wardian case has its own romantic allure. From the ages where orchid collecting was dangerous and always an adventure.

Oh I dont know... Still is an adventure for me roaming through a nursery looking for one off plants not on the lists

Not to mention some owners I have met who were somewhat strange and a little dodgy as well .....
