Default hydrometer

Hi,
I have a cordless digital thermometer/hydrometer on a stand that I use in my orchid room but I need to buy one for my Exo Terra tank, too. I don't know if the kind basically like mine are moisture sensitive or not. ?? If not, I can buy an inexpensive one at Walmart or do I need the kind that can be read outside the tank with cords that go inside with moisture sensors attached? If so,there's no more places around here to look for one like that. I don't know where to look online, either (and then there's the shipping cost, if I did). ?? So, does it matter which style I use? Could someone help me, please?
Vicki

Be sure to search for a hygrometer, not a hydrometer. A hydrometer measures specific gravity of liquids to test alcohol content in brewing beer or wine making. Hygrometers measure relative humidity.

I'd recommend getting the cheap ones at Sprawl Mart. In fact, get 2. You don't need the corded one, usually the probe on that cord just measures temp. The humidity is usually measured on the body of the unit. Just make sure you get on that measures min/max. Great feature.

No problem. I make beer too, so let me know if you ever need a hydrometer.
