Default aquarium soil for terrariums

Just about to set up a terrarium for some jewel orchids & possibly some Hab.rhodochila. A question on the substrate used - does any one tha grows orchids in a terrarium use these aquarium soils for the substrate or even mix in part. eg ADA soil has pellets that could be used in conjunction with soil for the substrate. Some advice would be appreciated thks

bump.....i could use this info as well.
I'm trying to start a viv with high light orchids in the very top (brassavola and slc's) and low light in the bottom (jewel orchids).

What should I make the soil structure out of.
At first I was thinking of 3" hydroton, with a screen, and then 4" shagnum....but now I'm thinking it should have an epi-web base of about 2".

Any help is always appreciated when starting a new project

I have one that is PrimAgra cover with ABG (Atlanta Botanical Gardens) mix. Another tank I use EpiWeb (Now EcoWeb?) covered with a mix of mosses but mostly sphagnum.

I have used the Red Sea Flora Base Plant Aquarium Substrate mixed with a homemade clay substrate. I grown Macodes petola, Ludisia discolor and a Paphiopedilum with great success.
