Default New 80 gallon bow front vivarium

OK, I'm not crazy about this setup yet...the background did not come out quite the way I wanted (finances being what they are and all) I think some of the plants I have in here need to be moved higher up in the tank due to the fact that it's too "wet" in the lower portion.

The lights are the same as what was on the small vivarium (the T5 fixture). I have my two computer fans at the top blowing air down into the tank. All of the rocks were highjacked from the creek that's on my my family's property in North Carolina but the 3 fire belly toads seem to be happy!! There is a large waterfall in the right hand corner of the tank (I'm not sure if you can see it in the picture).

I'll try to get some better pictures in a few days.

Very nice. I'd say it needs java moss and some ochids on that background...of course I'd also put a misting system in

Awesome! Love the waterfall. The seams in the background are a bit distracting..........I'll bet you have plans for that.

going to give this a bump and hope Ross will catch it and chime in with some orchid suggestions.
Also hope some folks in Canada will come on board with places to buy..

This vivarium is beaauuutiiffuuuulll!!

So, I did a search for bird vivariums, and google led me here to this thread. My friend and I are wanting to create a vivarium for our two little love birds. Do you think they would like a habitat like this? Would it be tough to keep clean? Is it hard to make? Where did you learn how to make this?

Any advice would be most appreciated!

Cheers,
Shylah

Looks great!!!!!

The fun is in the process! It doesn't have to be all done at once. Making adustments as you think of them and can afford to implement them is all just part of the fun!

I would LOVE to have a vivarium and some special frogs! Think frogs and orchids are soooo cool!

Great job. . .keep us posted on your progress! You DO know you're going to have to get a misting system and lots more orchids? *evil laughter*
