I was wondering about how a small Phrag might fair in my terrarium? Do they like wet feet? Would I be able to get one that would be ok mounted on the rock at the edge of the pond on the lower right corner of the viv in the above pic? Not enough light???????? I don't know anything about Phrags really, just that one would look really cool in there! Your help is much appreciated!

Wow, Tin!
They grew so much it really looks nice! They look very happy! We are thinking about starting one here. But we can't figure out where to put it in the house. A besseae is a smaller type of phrag and they like to be constantly moist and are lithophytes, but they prefer intermediate climates with bright light. Mine is doing exceptionally well in s/h and experiences winter lows in the 60's and summer highs up to low 90's.

Thanks all!
THe brightness factor could be a major impediment for growing those in this tank.

Wow! When you compare the updated pic with the first one (19-sept-2006), you can see how the orchids grow happily in the tank! Sophronitis cernua is growing OK? In my hands Sphros are hard to grow (outdoors), and you gave me an idea...

Hi Tin, its amazing how the orchids grow in an enclosed enviornment isn't it?? It's like having orchids on steroids

They look fabulous!
