Default Orchidarium shopping sites

I am currently shopping for an orchidarium and I am wondering: are there any orchidarium retailers whose products are comparable orchidariums.com with respect to beauty and quality?

Yeah, build your own, its far cheaper and the construction is likely to be much better.

I used First Class Aquatics LLC - Custom Acrylic Aquariums, Vivariums and other reef related equipment. He built mine to my plans and specs. Send an e-mail and see what he can do for you.

Thanks for the suggestions so far. I do realize that building my own may be cheaper.

Ross -- do you have a picture or your orchidarium?

I have one 3.25" DC fan running 24/7 inside at lower left and a second at upper right through wall that runs 2-3 hours late at night to evacuate the stale air. Misting system - MistKing runs 5 seconds every 4 hours for humidity. I can PM or e-mail my pdf file that I supplied Paul at First Class if you care to see it.

Wonderful orchidarium, Ross! What species do you cultivate in the orchidarium? They look happy and healthy.

I would appreciate the PDF file. My e-mail address is my username @yahoo.com. Thank you.

I have 35 seperate species and multiples of severals. Mostly Angraecoides like Aerangis and Angraecum as well as sevel Dendros. I will e-mail you the plans. The tank I ended up with is 36"W x 32"H x 20"Deep. If I had it to do over I would have made both ends black. The clear acrylic appears to warp more than the the black.

This is my first experience in a chat room. I grow orchids both in a conservatory attached to my house and an Orchidarium. About the only thing I don't grow are Vanda Alliances. Just never had any luck when I tried. I'm interested in other member's experiences with Orchidariums. I am partial to minis.

Bob, maybe one of the mods might move this to the Intros area. I am glad you chose to join. I am also glad you are one of us "tank" folks. I also am specializing in minis, especially the humid-growing ones like Angraecoids.
