Default Phal gigantea

Hi!
I have had a phlas gigantea growing in a pot for a few years and has not been doing too well. I have decided to mount it. Need to know if oak wood is ok to mount on? And if I cannot water it daily what way is the best.
Thanks

I recently got two seedlings of this species, currently in basket with sphagnum. Hope I could bring them up

Phal. gigantea likes it REALLY warm, and with plenty of moisture, while maintaining plenty of air around the roots.

If you cannot water it at least once a day, mounting is probably not a good idea for your environment and watering capabilities.

Instead, consider a slat basket of sphagnum, suspended sideways to facilitate the plant's pendant growth habit.
