Phalaenopsis zhejiangensis
Default Phalaenopsis zhejiangensis

I have had this for at least 3 years. This is its first bloom. It only bloomed after I kept it so dry this winter that it lost all of its leaves. Not fragrant, but very intricate and "neat".

Wow, really unusual - you'll be glad to see it flowering after you changed it's cultural needs - watching a Phalaenopsis lose it's leaves (even if it is natural) must be a scary thing 😮

Each leaf at maximum length is about 1.5 inches. The spike is 3.25 inches.

Absolutely! Most Phalaenopsis hybrids and species die for me and I thought that this was following in their footsteps. I'm glad that it didn't.

First time I've ever heard of this species. It's incredible. Exquisite.

Where did you find it?

Congrats on blooming and on taking such an excellent photo of it.

I got it at a local orchid show; I think was from a vendor from Louisiana.
