Default Any chances that this is a spike?

Hi everyone I noticed that my violacea has a new growth by its side. It looks like a spike to me but I’m not 100% sure. Can anyone take a look and let me know what it is thanks!

If the one on the right is flat and somewhat mitten shaped, it's a spike. Hard to tell in the photo, but that does look rather flat. That combined with the location has me thinking spike.

Yep it seems quite flat from the side. It should be a spike then . Thanks for all the replies!

Finally after a month of waiting! Unfortunately I accidentally damaged one of the developing buds as my led light fixture fell on the plant😞. At least that bud isn’t broken and can still develop
