I was checking my seedlings(dendrophylax lindenii) this morning and decided to move my phal equestris to get a better look at its basal keiki, it turns out it was not keiki but a spike. I am so suprised at it.

Yes, I am growing ghost orchids and they like me(they got green root tips, which I've read elsewhere is half the battle with them).

This is a somewhat off time for equestris to bloom, though they can. I have two in spike.

Good growing! Gotta love that species. Mine is finishing blooming on the mother plant and starting on the basal keiki. I also see what looks like 2 or 3 keikis on this summer's flower spike. Last year I cut them off and gave them away, I'll try to leave them on this year and builb a specimen plant.
