How dainty fragile looking blooms....I am tempted to grow these miniatures but it might get lost and neglected among my bigger orchids....

Another awesome mini, Peter. Yours seem to stay just a bit ahead of mine; each time you post a mini Mine bloom no more than a week later!

Bud, the various mini-Phal species are absolutely worth growing! I set up an area just for minis and grow most of mine in there, but even those which aren't don't get lost. They're just way to cool to lost track of!

Ooh how nice! These are just so small, I really like them. I've only had my two a few months and the parishii has its first spike.

Thanks for sharing Peter!

Thank you. Lip is huge compared to other Phal lobbii. This is a small plant not quite established. It should have more bloom next time.

There so cute. I just don't think I could handle a mount does anyone grow them in pots?

In my experience they seem to prefer mounting but only if the humidity is on the higher side. I have a parishii in a pot which is actually a bit larger than my others, and it is perfectly happy. Some sellers recommend pots over mounting.

It is just way to dry here for me to even think of mounting. Well I could probably do it in my tent shelf but they would have to like it cold.

I grow indoors in windows on trays of pebbles and water, and mounted phals have been an absolute failure for me. Humidifier, daily watering, trays with water and pebbles underneath - it doesn't seem to matter. They struggle, they die, their buds blast.

Pots work better for me - but lately all my buds are blasting anyway. So I'm cutting my Phal collection way back, and will see how I do with mostly hybrids in pots in one window that's done pretty well till now.
