Default corningiana

This plant had some mishaps, a couple of aborted spikes (grew out into the media), one broken spike, damaged leaves but still a trooper. The color on my screen is a bit off, I see red where it's mahogany.

Amazing! I just got one from Carter & Holmes, but it will be a while before it blooms. Sure would love to get flowers just like that!

Bethmarie, check your PM.

I really don't like the color on screen. I'll try to tweak it.

So far 2/2 blooms' petals and sepals are cupped and too rigid to flatten out. I don't know if that is genetic or culture.

The cultivar I is Fernbrook

Really nice flower, I have a one phal. corningiana and it has 9 month. It is still young plant. I had read that phal. corningiana is very difficult to grow? Is it true? How long have you waited for flowers?
