Phal. violacea var indigo 'Blue Chip x self'

This is a first bloom seedling from Norton's N0559 cross. The flower opened fairly flat though the petals recurve slightly. I'm hoping the form and color will improve with maturity.

Can you share your cultural info? I have this same plant and it grows roots but no leaves or blooms.

Thanks everyone. I think it has potential. Oddly enough it appears to be a survivor of my great Phal. epidemic. I cut off one bad leaf back in May & I have not seen any return of symptoms.

I grow it hot and bright. It grows like gangbusters during our hot summer months, and slows way down during the cool winter months. It seems to be happiest with night temps in the high 70s to 80s. It's growing in a southwest facing bay window under T5HO bulbs.

For a first bloom seedling, this is a VERY nice blooming! Once the plant matures more, the colour and form should improve!
