Does it get any direct sunlight on its foliage or only bright indirect light?

It gets direct sun shining in the window, onto the leaves for a few hours in the morning.

I am very pleased to say that my very first Phalaenopsis gigantea is spiking since a few days ago!!!! Here are some photos!












I hope all goes well and it flowers soon!!!! If anyone has Phalaenopsis gigantea pollinia,i would really like to trade once mine flowers!

Here are few photos i took today of the opening buds! :P






















The third one just started opening today as well(you know,that first tiny initial crack of the petals ). I think it needs more than a week before they are all fully open. I will update again then!

Congratulations for a job well done !
This is almost a teen aged seedling and it bloomed for you....
I have seen other plants with leaf almost more than 14 inches long before they even spike....
