Default Phal violacea alba

Just picked up this one at a local show. Nice size, shape and color. Since I had my 'Joy' clone in flower as well, I decided to cross them...this one is the pod parent. The flower was receptive, so we'll see how things turn out.

Here's the 'Joy' clone for reference...

Brilliantly beautiful! I like the stronger green markings on the violacea alba, but both are gorgeous!

2ljd, Did the cross take? These parents look very nice to me. I'd love a few seeds of this one!

Hi Royal,

This particular seed pod aborted pretty quick...unfortunately, I think the flower wasn't very fresh. It was already in bloom when I bought it. But I do have a nice seed pod of the 'Joy" clone (selfing) that will be ready in another month or two. If there's enough material, maybe I can send you some seed.

That's a shame. Those will make some lovely offspring.
