Isn't one of the reasons to participate in the project is to buy and grow a plant you might not buy otherwise?
I went back and read some of the earlier project posts and many people said they couldn't believe they liked their new project plant so much because it wasn't a plant they would of bought on their own. You never know you might end up liking a whole new genera of orchids that you thought you wouldn't! There are a lot of plants on the list that I wouldn't buy either if it wasn't for the project.
But I think we should keep our minds open and you never know we might end up with a neat little plant we can't live without.
