That's a different one. There used to be a standard monoliforme for $18 or $20 I think.

Ah, OK. Well it's listed here too: Dendrobium Moniliforme 2120 - Dendrobium Species - Grow Intermediate & Bright Blooming Size - Buy

I think Shadytrake said they were a good grower.

Could you pay attention to the price limits please when you post? Anything above $20 is not good for the project.
I'm also a bit cautious about all these unknown growers you are posting. These are not ones that I come across regularily, if at all, in the forums. No, I don't live in the US, but seeing the amount of time I spend online I'm quite familiar with the good growers.

Also, I think Den lawesii may have to come off the list. The plant can grow to 18 inches, and it depends a lot on the clone. You must have one of the more compact growers.

Hi Camille,

Sorry, I was just giving you all of the options. If an orchid makes it to the poll, not everyone will necessarily buy from the same vendor just because of the project price. Some will go with a vendor they may have ordered from before or has the TCs they want.

I may not be on the OB as much as I used to because I'm doing my MBA but any grower that I list has either come to our society and spoken, I have purchased from personally, or friends in the Memphis Orchid Society have purchased from them.

The MOS is a big society and most have been growing over 15 years. They know a lot of growers that I have never seen posted on OB. Two of my friends in the MOS are AOS learner judges and I have been a scribe for three years (last year for the Mid-America Orchid Congress which we hosted at MOS). My husband is responsible for the orchids at the Memphis Botanic Gardens.

Diamond Orchids - Peter is an AOS judge.
New World - Dr Lehr is an international judge and posts on OB as Fuukiran. In fact he wrote a lot of the information on the Neo forum here.

Again, I was only trying to help by expanding the orchid list.

I understand that, and I appreciate your hard work. I think that what I should have said is that this point it's only important that the plant is available at least in one place for sure. Then after the first poll what you are doing will be very helpful, since people will have a bigger list of growers to choose from. Except instead of researching 20 orchids, there will only be 5-10! If do do keep searching for growers until then, send me the info by PM, so I have it in one place and easy to find when I make poll #2.

As for my comment about the growers, I had in mind some growers that can be hit or miss. In those cases one single person's experience may not mean much, they could have been lucky with their order. And I'd really hate it if there were lots of unhappy people if the project plant came from such a place.

Now that you explain why you know those are good growers, it's fine with me!
I do know New Word Orchids, I order from them when they come to shows in the UK every spring/summer
