We did have many warm and cool growers picked but tossed, so I can see she will have many options.
She will have Andy's (an example vendor) ready for us to order one of those three. I call and say my OB name, OB project member, and one cool grower. He ships the unknown plant (unknown to me, but known to Sue).
We really don't need to vote on anything! Right? All we need to do is sign up for the project and list what temp grower we will choose.
Sue will pick the three types and notify one vendor of the three to have ready.
I don't even want to know what the options are. If we vote on some, then we will have an idea of what's coming. If we don't and just let Sue decide, it will truly be a mystery!
Each of the orchids being shipped should all be about the same price.
The voting and picking numbers thing is confusing me.

This is my point. I understand the cool-intermediate-warm stuff. I also understand Sue (or someone) picking a plant. I also have no problem with the mystery part. I don't get the vote on a number scheme when the number isn't attached to anything we know of. My favorite number might be 5. What does this have to do with anything?

If we are voting on numbers as they were on previous projects, then I think we know the results, right? Folks... we are making this too complex (and for what reason?) Why not let someone (Sue?) contact the potential vendors for their submissions in each category (cool-intermediate-warm) and let the winning vendor(s) submit what they will. The coordinator gets the list. Just a thought.
