Default Oncidium Sharry Baby in self-watering semi-hydro

Hello, fellow orchid enthusiasts.

I know some people still show great mistrust for the self-watering semi-hydro setup and far be it from me to try and sway their opinions but I just wanted to show you how great my Oncidium is doing.

I bought him in August and this is how he arrived. Look at the last growth, still growing leaves.

I repotted him in self-watering semi-hydro a week later.

And this is my Baby as of today, still getting T H I C C. Look at the size of that pseudobulb. That is the same growth I pointed out in the previous picture. Still growing!

And here you can see some roots.

I think he's doing great!

LISTEN I ordered this Sharry Baby but when it arrived and I had it in my hands I could see it was TINY and I started to get nervous because I thought "What if they sent me an oncidium twinkle by mistake?" Because I had only seen the Sharry Baby on pictures and never in person and it didn't help that the tag was lost on transport and I was super worried that I was sent the wrong plant???

*inhales*

But seeing that it is growing so well and getting bigger, my worries are easing a little. Maybe it truly is the famous Sharry Baby. I will have to wait until it finally blooms to know for certain though.
