Default Root Rot Post Transplant to S/H

I recently (~1 month) transplanted some phals into semi-hydro, and I've noticed that while they seem to be doing well up top (new leaves on 2/4), they might be experiencing some root rot down below. Looks like a few of the roots are a little mushier towards the reservoir than they were initially.

I know it's typical for roots to die during the change over the semi-hydro, but wanted to know what the best practice is - should I take the plants out of the LECA and trim out the dead matter? Do I let them stay put for a little longer and trim it out later?

Thanks in advance, appreciate the feedback.

Best,
Brian

Assuming that you are keeping them good and warm, don't give it a second thought.

You are right, the root loss is due to the change in root zone conditions, but a healthy plant will deal with it with little issue.
