Default Algae growth with S/H

Several of my orchids in S/H have suddenly developed major algae growth. It seems to be tied in with heat wave we've been experiencing. Any suggestions on getting rid of it, or is it necessary? The plants are still doing fine. It's just rather unsightly. I've tried Physan, but unfortunately I'm now out, and it hasn't been easy to purchase here.

From Ray Barkalow's site, water with a bleach solution of 1 fl oz per gallon. You may want to consider placing the clear s/h pots within opaque ones to prevent algal growth.
