Default Phals in SH

All these have been in SH for several weeks ...except for the big pot out front...I can see new root growth on most everything..of course they could all turn their toes up and croak..

Beautiful flowers Gilda, but am I reading correctly. You planted these several weeks ago? Did you replant them while in bud? I ask because I have been waiting for my gang to stop flowering before I replant them and since they all look like new buds may grow off secondary spikes, it may be more months before I can finish. They all have new roots starting so maybe this is the right time to place in s/h.(?) Thanks for the direction.

Everything looks good. Beautiful collection too. What is the orange/yellow one in the lower front of the photo?

Anytime I get a new orchid, be it a phal or whatever, I always repot them when they first arrive, and I haven't blasted a bud yet. Sometimes my phal's will stop and 'think' about it though.

Linda , yes the phals were in bloom/bud...that is when I see the most new root growth....I did not lose a bloom or bud on these ! The only problem I had was with some Prime Agra that a friend gave me and that she had soaked in bleach .
I must not have rinsed it well enough...the leaves were wilty the next day on the on the phals I used Prime Agra . Thankfully it was only 3 ! I nearly lost one ..the other 2 are recovering.
After that experience I made the 1 1/2 hour journey to buy Hydroton. I don't know the dfifference but Hydroton works better for me.
Barbara , the orange /yellow phal in the front is Carolina Bronze meteor 'Lenette'.. that one came from Carter & Holmes.
