A Nice Surprise!
While Laelia (or whatever) purpurata is one of the easier Laelias to grow and flower, I never dreamed it would respond to S/H like this. On 5/10/2008 I repotted L. purpurata var flamea 'Redwing" X self from a 2.5" pot into a 16 oz cup. Following is kind of a pictorial history. Pictures are; 1. After one month 2&3. Today 4. After 3 months
I'm still not sure just why it is flowering at this time of year.
