Default New Greenhouse Finally and going s/h

After 30 odd years of struggling keeping my Orchids healthy in some of the most nightmareish places I finally built my dream greenhouse. I constructed it ot of western red cedar, totally from rough timber, plainning.routing and driving screws there are no nails took me 7 months of evening and weekends.
Totally automatic and runs off of solar panels and 12 volt dc systems as storm backup

My new challenge shifting 145 Orchidc plants to S/H I tried it I like it. Yu ca see more at bobweis, com in the Orchid section and believe me get ready for questions at 65 I don't change easily

Don't do the changeover all at once. As each plant starts growing new roots, do the individuals then.

You were patient enough to build that greenhouse, apply that attitude to the plants, too.

Ray I never get in a hurry and as soon as your stuff gets here I will start one pot at a time. My big problem is that Most of my cats are going like crazy and starting to root in the pots arround them. I did start using carbon Dioxide at 1500ppm twice in the mornings and there was a remarkable difference, especially in my test with my one S/H

the normal co2 level without help in the greenhouse is around 327-425 PPM. I have a system that senses the level and at certian times during the morning ( usually 8:30 and 10:30 Am) it will take the level to 1600 PPM hold it for prescribed time usually 18 min and then vent it.

I have been using it several years and noticed stronger growth both in plant tissue and roots. Helping with S/H I can't tell yet I don't have a comparison with only 1 plant in S/H. Although I was very impressed with the 1 plant

I will be able to divide this greenhouse up into 2 different sections and will better able to tell the difference. I like to play with things like this as an escape from work, Orchids are it.
