Default Call it blasphemy!! -OR- an even BETTER use for SH culture

slightly adapted in that the holes are way up on the glass containers but bog plants are PERFECT for SH...their roots are almost exclusively for water and mechanical support, they get food other ways

Poinsienas and myr. by J Solo, on Flickr

i have the depression glass and two votive jars, the bottom is a 14" pot i drilled a hole into the bottom of with the gravel to act as a both ballast and drainage...this is in an area where rain can fall on it but it is mostly blocked by the palm leaves way above so only gentle rain.

they are in this container about 2 weeks and loving it...the saracenea are slower to bounce back from the replanting than the drosera

Why is that blasphemy?

I have grown sarracenia in S/H pots. I have a Nepenthes X ventrata that may be about to be converted to Nepenthes guineapigius.

I am just so impressed with the applications of this culture.

I may up dig my whole bog!!!
