Default S/h culture, which orchids are suitable

Hello all,
I am tranferring my phallies into s/h, I have done 15 so far and they look and feel great. What other orchid types can take s/h culture? I am considering cattleyas, paphs and miltoniopsis. What say you? Thank you all.

ANY plant can be grown in semi-hydroponic culture.

That does not mean, however, that anyone can grow a particular plant that way.

"S/H" merely addresses non-decomposing medium and water delivery, and there are MANY more cultural factors that affect an individual's ability to successfully grow plants. I, for example, with arguably more S/H experience than anyone, have never been successful with dendrobiums, while others will tell you they're the "ideal" beginners' plant.

The primary change that the technique brings to the table is a reduction in the root zone temperature from the evaporative cooling of the open, moist medium, but that's only a factor when the humidity is low.

So...your questions should be "what conditions does 'X' like?", "Can I provide them?", and "How will S/H affect them?".
