Default Step by step guide to S/H

Hi Guys,

anyone volunteer to write up a guide (with pictures) to s/h ? I'm thinking that we could do a new plant and go through the method of how to actually do it. Outline of materials and cost would also be useful. I am sure a lot of people would appreciate a guide like that.

Why don't we do our own version and enrich OB content a little.

This would be a great subject for an article, not just a thread.

any takers???? You're welcomed to plug in your site after the article (Ray and others )

If its not a problem I can do it. I actually am about to repot a few plants. I can start documenting it.

go for it... we can always tweak it or add more info later. Actually I think there might be an option to open the article and allow everyone to edit it.... I mean, if it's OK with you the author, hehe

I have a number of pictures of my plants in the process of being switched to s/h that I will be willing to share...they're in my gallery.

I will also contribute to the article by all means. I have definitely learned some things the more I've done, and I'm still a beginner in the s/h world!

Hey, I came up with a better option. Why don't we write our own book !!! Have s/h be just a chapter.

This would be a first I believe, an Orchid Book (always written and revised) made entirely by board members for everyone to read, learn and enjoy!

Option is up and running. It would be nice if we could come up with a table of contents, like in a real book and then distribute chunks to people to write.

Here's a thread for the new feature:

Oh ok. haha It's just that in First Rays they have specific type of fertilizer which I don't think we have it here. But I already email him and he said it's ok to use any fert as long as it is complete.
He is very helpful. Thanks Ray!
