I suspect what you have in there is called LECA which is expanded clay.
You should repot it in a larger pot (+1 cm in diameter), with a mix of LECA (with grains of around 1 cm or slightly smaller)...

It is not possible to identify it 100% a plant without a tag. We can more or less identify the genus but nothing more than that.
