Unknown Insect? Harmful?

Greetings all,

Anyone has any idea what this is and whether it is harmful to orchids? It looks like some egg but it was empty when i peel it off. Im not sure what is this.

Do you think a thin layer of coconut fiber will help? It wont breakdown...

Is too late...the orchid was dying. As shown in the picture, the pseudobulbs were turning yellow+brown and it is getting soft when i press it. I guess it is some bacteria infection....

It looks like a P. bellina to me because it has more intense color on the 2 lower sepals compare to the sepal and petals above. It has sweet, mix fruity and citrusy fragrance. :)
