It started out pale yellow and then turned more peachy/light pinkish orange. It never developed strong flares on the petals like on Akatsuka website.

I am not sure how many days it took to turn...

Some people say that sharr baby smells like vanilla. To me it is more chocolatey either way it is way more fragrant than odn Irene. I say go for that instead if you want a really smelly one.

I think dowiana has a reputation of being intolerant of wet conditions in the winter. I also heard that you have to be careful about repotting, but I have never grown one myself.

Yes, there are white marks on one of them. There are also circular darker patches on the sepals.

I am growing in Phoenix without a humidifier, so the buds drying out is plausible.

Its beauty is only surpassed by its fragrance. I love the smell. Reminds me of a sweet vanilla pastry with floral undertones. It smells strongly too. I can get whiffs of it from a few feet away.

Wow! Large 5 inch blooms, good form, and great fragrance. This bloomed already 4 months ago, so it looks like it can potentially bloom a few times a year.

It bloomed from a leaved growth instead...
