Funnily enough, I did put a bit more bark in this pot than in all my other orchids. Perhaps that was partially the cause. You're right...it's a mad (but fun) science!!

I've been placing my phal in a cool window every night for a few weeks and it has a new spike. Should I stop putting it in the cold location at night now?
