could the plant i thought was the Prosthechea cochleata might be the Brassia caudata. Brassia caudata has not been seen in florida since 1990, who knows if might be seeing as if it was Prosthechea...

I don't really think anybody considers this orchid invasive seeing as it has been in Florida probably for 20 25 years and is relatively slow growing and slow spreading compared to other plants....

Florida eulophia graminea smells very strong
