Thank you for the reply Ray! The damage spot is not actually what I was concerned about. The leap is grown about 3" in my care. It seems to be sealed on both sides all the way down into the crown....

Thank you so much for all of the advice I think I'm going to give it a couple of days to see if it spreads at all or changes before cutting leave but I was kind of leaning towards cutting Leaf myself.
