Not a root or a flower spike, what is it?

A few weeks ago, this...thing started coming out of my phal, I assumed it was a flower spike since this particular phal currently has 3 spikes so I thought "a fourth spike, awesome!"

Is there any way to sort of speed up the process, sort of like trying to induce flowering on a phal? More light? Heavier waterings?

it is in bloom, with another inflorescence ready to bloom soon. I guess I'll just have to guesstimate when to water until I can figure out, weight-wise, when it's about halfway toward dry.

First-ever reblooms!

I'm super excited that after years of killing orchids, I've finally had a reward, with two of my no-id phals have reblooming!

The yellow-red-orangey one only has 4 flowers but another flower steam...
