I never got around to posting this, it booomed in October. The flower was huge (around 6 inches tall), fragrant of jasmine in the evening, and lasted a little more than 2 weeks.

There is a good chance the spike will not grow further, although if it does it would drain the plant considerably. I would get someone else's opinion on this as I'd be tempted to keep it hehe.
