"Likes a lot of air flow"- what's this _really_ mean?
"X plant wants a lot of air flow"

closed-system rewatering and plant wastes?
I've got a wardian case setup that mists and waters and then drains into the same container. The water is exhausted every week so it gets new (tap) water at that point.
I think Ray mentioned that...

I'm late to this thread but I'm growing in a exoterra 18x18x24 with high humidity and what I've learned the hard way is that mold forms when there's not enough airflow (and H is high, etc).

I've tried that, here's what I found.
I dropped the "2 box" solution (1 cold box, 1 plant box) early on because it was hard to get everything insulated enough to stay cool enough when you piped...

I've got the same (?) 18x36 tank and I'm using a 1/4" acrylic (plexiglass) top.
It bends a little bit (as you'd expect) but isn't an issue.
My lights heat it by about about 3'f. I'm using a...

"Airflow is essential!" Ok-- but really, why?
I've read a bunch of articles on in and the best justification I can find is that not drying the plants and general environs promotes fungus, rot, etc.
Also, that it evens out the temps and...

Are the stomas open?
I've got a microscope (10x, 40, 100), would it be possible to take a sample (with a paper hole punch possibly?) to find out if the stomas are open at any random point throughout the day?
Or are we...
